Modifications in machines and procedures, influence failure behaviour and thus the maintenance plan.

Modifications are made to influence failure behaviour. They can prevent certain malfunctions. Or minimize the consequences. Or extend the service life. In all these cases, the failure behaviour changes on the basis of which maintenance plans have been drawn up.

If a modification prevents a particular failure mode, it must be removed from the FMEA. Therefore, the corresponding maintenance task must be removed too. This is how we keep the maintenance plans up to date.
